Great Lakes Waterfront Trail
The Great Lakes Waterfront Trail spans much of the Ontario shores of the Great Lakes. The interactive Web Map will let you explore the trail and learn about the route. This resource includes links to bike rentals and a downloadable map.
Prince Edward County has over 800 km of bending and curving shoreline, vast marshes and wetlands and the largest freshwater dune system in the world at Sandbanks. There are also plenty of beautiful small country towns to enjoy each with excellent shops and restaurants. A long-time favourite destination for cyclists and birders, the County’s over 60+ wineries, brew companies and distilleries, are attracting foodies and oenophiles. Many establishments will ship purchases making it easy to build your craft alcohol collection.
The Loyalist Parkway Association has developed self-guided brochures for those who want to learn about the region’s early settlement over 200 years ago.
PEC’s Trail ends at Glenora where you can take a ferry to Aldophustown and continue along the Waterfront Trail through Greater Napanee
