Millennium Trail

The Millennium Trail is an abandoned CN railbed that has been transformed into a multi-use path. Millennium Trail runs across most of the county, reaching 49 kilometres from Picton to Carrying Place. You can join it at any of 30 points any day between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. Kilometre markers can help you keep track of how far you have travelled.

Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 9 h 26 min to complete. This is a popular trail for walking, mountain biking, horse riding, and ATVs. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas.

The Millennium Trail also provides an opportunity to enjoy time outdoors and exercise through winter activities such as snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, fat tire biking and walking.

In winter months once grooming operations have begun, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and dirt bikes are not permitted on the trail. At this point, motorized use of the Millennium Trail is restricted to snowmobiles, farm tractors and vehicles of animal husbandry. See details
