Community Economies Pilot

This Friday, October 28th, we welcomed Dr. Audrey Jamal & Rebecca Gordon from the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics at University of Guelph.

They presented their report findings for the Community Economies Pilot Project + Prince Edward County.

Driven by the question “how do we strengthen community economies?” the report explores how community voices and perspectives at the planning table can include a diverse set of perspectives and ideas to shape the community’s economic future.

In 2021, Prince Edward County joined the Community Economies Pilot Project, a collaboration between the Shorefast Foundation, Canadian Urban Institute and Community Foundations Canada.

This report summary shares about local economic development, the formation of Thrive PEC, the ABCD process and recent community engagement findings. A full report will be shared soon, please share and join the conversation.
