What’s been happening with Thrive PEC

Foundational activities are taking place during April through September of 2022, to prepare potential community champions for the ongoing THRIVE work.

  • April 28: Presentation to municipal Committee of the Whole
  • May: Interactive workshops on Asset-Based Community-led Development (ABCD)
  • May: Shorefast leadership conversations with key stakeholders, informed by outcomes of ABCD sessions
  • June thru August: Interviews of key stakeholders by UofGuelph researchers
  • Autumn: Release of a short video documenting the voices and perspectives of people in PEC and the key opportunities and challenges
  • Autumn: A report summarizing the results of project activities and the research process
  • Coming Up Next: A road map outlining next steps leading to a community-led development plan
