Baxter Arts Centre

The Baxter Arts Center is a dynamic space where creativity meets community through arts education, activity and engagement.

We are committed to providing experiential learning through play, making and doing. Our diverse range of programming supports arts education for all skill levels and ages while also aiming to build community, creative fundamentals and confidence.

Our workshops span a wide range of creative fields: writing, fibre arts, painting & visual arts, yoga, dance, singing and so much more!

Also the venue for Quarter Moon Coffee House open stage music. 

Volunteer opportunities:

• 4 to 6 week children’s programs and Summer Camps
• Help with rental bookings, bookkeeping, event set up and tear down
• Newsletter and social media promotion

There are opportunities to volunteer remotely i.e. virtual meetings, online administration.

Youth/students volunteer opportunities also include:

• Working with children, designing and implementing their own course with the help of the Program Manager and an instructor as a mentor.
